Vancouver is an amazing place to visit. If you are planning a vacation, Vancouver has everything to offer. This place has the most stunning natural beauty with oceans, mountains, rain forests and parks. Words alone cannot do justice in expressing the beauty which Vancouver offers.You can explore the city by bus, car, on foot, horse drawn carriage, helicopter, the choice is yours.

Winter Olympics of 2010 are also going to be held in Vancouver. There are many places to see in Vancouver.Here are some of the must see places while you visit Vancouver.

* Capilano Suspension Bridge – The original Capilano bridge was built in 1889 by George Grant Mackay and was suspended on a hemp rope. Today the bridge uses 2″ steel cables which are now capable of holding two fully loaded 747s. When you step on the swaying planks,you are 230 feet above the floor of Capilano Canyon. The bridge has a 450 foot span. You can stop and marvel at the beauty surrounding you. Clean water rushes below and gravity defying trees create an awesome atmosphere.

Besides the bridge, there is tree top adventure which you can enjoy while you are there. There are also tours available beginning every hour which can tell more about the place. Kids can also explore kid’s rainforest.

* Grouse Mountain – You can stroll along Eco walk or take an outdoor presentation which shows birds in motion. Visitors can see Grey wolves and grizzly bears up close and personal at the Grouse Mountain. You can opt between chair lift or helicopter tours. How spectacular is it to see the mountains and Vancouver island in one glance. It sure is an amazing sight which one will remember for the rest of the life.

* Whale Watching – There are many companies in vancouver which offer whale watching. Ofcourse no one can guarantee that you will be able to see the whales but you also may get another trip, free of charge if you do not get tp watch the whales.You may see killer whales, colonies of sea lions and many other inhabitants of the coastal waters along the way.

* Stanley Park – You can take a ride inĀ  horse drawn carriage to explore the beauty of Stanley Park. This 1000 acre wonderland features Vancouver Harbour, the Lions Gate Bridge, Deadman’s Island, the Rose Garden and many other wonderful sights. Along the ride you will learn the area’s historical and natural features.

You can also visit aquariums and museuems during your stay in Vancouver. Where ever you go, don’t forget to bring your camera to capture the breath taking moments which you will experience and remember for many years to come.
