Do you have an interest in gardening or you’ve always wanted to plant a fruit tree. It’s not difficult but there must be proper care for the plants in order for them to survive and thrive. A lot of fruit trees die in their beginning years due to poor care than any disease. Therefore it is really important to understand how to take care of trees so they can remain healthy for years to come.
Since in the beginning years, the trees roots and branches have not fully developed and so if it’s bearing fruit, that can amount to additional weight for the tree. The result could be that branches might snap off so the solution for that is to provide support to the plant by propping them up with boards or tieing them with something at a higher altitude.
The right source of nutrition is the key ingredient to a healthy plant or tree to survive for more than one season. The right type pf fertilizer varies since the climate, weather and other conditions are different everywhere. The best option for that is to ask a nursey employee. Tell them a little about the tree or plant and they should be able to help you pick the right type of fertilizer for your tree. It’s a common misconception that if a tree is given more and more water all the problems will disappear. That’s not true, by giving more water than the tree originally needs, you may be causing more harm than good. In some cases the tree may not be able to produce fruit in the future.
Also if a branch appears unhealthy or disease stricken, it’s best to chop that part off because the nutrients that branch is recieving are being wasted. Once the tree is in a picking stage, never leave a fruit on the ground. You should always pick it , even if you don’t want to eat it. The reason is that if you leave the fruit on the ground, it will begin to rot and as a result it could a perfect home for unwanted disease and insects which could than transfer to the tree itself.
