Tips on Healthy Eating

We all need healthy foods to make our bodies healthy and strong.Why is healthy eating important? It’s important because it gives a person more energy and productivity,lowers the risk of heart disease, cancer, diabetes and many other diseases. It is commonly thought that healthy foods are expensive so they might not be withing one’s reach but there are ways by which you can keep the cost low and more affordable since everyone deserves a healthy and well balanced diet.
So what are these healthy foods?
Well, healthy foods consist of eggs, proteins, fat, veggies,fruit and whole grains. Our bodies are about 75% water and we need water to flush our system especially kidneys, bladder etc. of toxic wastes. Water is beneficial for skin as well.The body needs water to regulate body temperatures and is a source for supplying nutrients to all parts of the body. Make sure to drink plenty of water throughout your day to stay healthy.
Fruits and vegetables especially the green veggies are very important. The goal should be of at least five serving per day. Make sure you include them in your every meal. The benefits that are achieved by consuming fruits and vegetable cannot be under estimated. Reduce risk of heart disease, stroke , cancers etc. are just to name a few. Give your body a variety of nutrients by eating various fruits and vegetables.
The body needs proteins. Meats such as poultry, beef, ham etc. The problem with consuming too much beef is that it is high in unhealthy saturated fat. This fat increases the risk of heart disease and is the number one killer in the United States and many other countries.
This does not mean that you should not consume beef at all. In fact beef contains zinc, proteins,iron and B vitamins essentials which the body needs. You can enjoy beef and not increase your chances of getting heart disease. You should choose leaner cuts of beef and pay attention to the serving size.
Fish, eggs and beans also contain proteins which the body needs.Fish is an excellent source for Omega3 Fatty acids. Eggs are rich in a variety of nutrients. Make whole grains such as bread and cereals a part of your daily diet as they are a good source for carbohydrates.By including healthy and nutritious foods in our lives , we can set an example for the next generation, encouraging them to eat healthy as well.
